Q. Catasoft™ is a web-based application.  Does this mean our data resides on your servers?

A. No.  It is correct that Catasoft™ is a web-based application but everything is installed on the customer’s server(s).  No data or part of the application connects to NetServ servers after installation.

Q. Do web-based applications consume more time to manage and administer?

A. Quite the opposite.  Typically, web-based applications are easier to maintain from an IT perspective because everything related to the application is centrally located on the server.  All updates and Service Packs are installed one time at the single server location.  This means there are no client PCs to visit, no client reinstalls and no client updates.  Everything is managed from the server.

Q. Are web-based applications secure?

A. Yes.  NetServ works with every customer during installation to make sure all aspects of SQL Server and Internet Information Server (IIS) is configured properly and securely.

Q. What web browsers will run Catasoft™ ERP?

A. Versions of Internet Explorer higher than 7 and versions of Firefox higher than 2 will run Catasoft™ ERP.

Q. We have more than one location.  Does Catasoft™ support more than one company location?

A. Yes.  Catasoft™ supports multiple companies, multiple divisions, multiple departments, multiple currencies and multiple languages all within a SINGLE database.  You can also plan and schedule production by location.
